TPMS Sensors & Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems
We provide TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) sensors and professional related services.
The TPMS is an electronic system that continuously monitors the air pressure inside pneumatic tyres and provides real-time information to the driver via a display, warning symbol, or low-pressure indicator light.
TPMS systems are designed to help:
- Improve driving safety
- Prevent tyre-related accidents
- Reduce fuel consumption
- Minimize premature tyre wear
There are two main types of TPMS:
- Direct TPMS (dTPMS) – uses sensors inside the wheels to measure pressure directly
- Indirect TPMS (iTPMS) – uses vehicle ABS data to detect pressure differences
Both OEM (factory) and aftermarket TPMS solutions are available.
TPMS Sensor Programming & Replacement
TPMS sensors must be programmed (learned) to the vehicle in cases such as:
- Wheel position changes
- New sensor installation
- Wheel rim replacement
- Damaged or faulty sensor replacement
Some vehicle brands automatically recognize and relearn sensors when wheel positions change (e.g., BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar).
Other vehicles require sensor programming via the OBD2 diagnostic port, such as Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Toyota, and Lexus.
Sensor Learning Process
During programming:
- Sensor IDs must be entered into the system
- Wheel positions may also need to be assigned depending on the vehicle
Before programming, it is recommended to read and save existing sensor data, as some vehicles erase all sensor information during the learning process and require all four sensor IDs to be re-entered — even if only one sensor has been replaced.
